Metamorphosis follows on the heels of past Illustra offerings, including Privileged Planet, Unlocking the Mystery of Life, and Darwin's Dilemma. I've always felt that the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly gives us a clue about our own human existance and the glorious transformation promised to us. I attended the funeral of a disabled child many years ago and his parents had pictures of butterflies all round the church.
I also remenber going through a difficult time in my own life. It was January, cold weather, and I recall being amazed at the sight of a butterfly outside my window. It felt like a sign and gave me fresh hope.
