Hi,

But why a mauling from bears?

Of all the things that God could have done to protect, to deter however you may wish to think of it - why evoke the might of bears? I really struggle with this.

There's plenty of other manifestations of God in the Old Testament - ones that aren't so violent and are actually, far more "glorious" for want of a better word, and these are ones that (potentially) may have provided some converts in the process?
Just imagine those 42 seeing a burning bush that would speak to them - how awe inspiring would that have been?

So I struggle to understand why God deliberately chose to use two female Bears to maul 42 humans?

He can doing anything can't he?
There's nothing that is beyond God's power - so why the Bears?

Hoping you can help me with this.

Neil
