Greg Koukl’s Tactics: Essential for Apologetics and Evangelism
Most apologetics books simply present the arguments and leave it up to the reader to figure out how to implement those arguments in a real conversation. That’s where Greg Koukl’s very important book, Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions comes in. Koukl not only teaches how to present an evangelistic case for Christianity to unbelievers, it teaches you how to engage in such a way as to help them question their own beliefs and worldview. There is a reason that Tactics is one of the most recommended books here at TPE, and that is because I think it is one of the most essential books for not just those who wish to learn how to apply apologetics, but to anyone who has a desire to become more confident in sharing their faith with others, whether they are apathetic towards Christianity, curious seekers, devotees to other religions, or hardcore skeptics. Guest blogger David Stoecker* recently finished his in depth chapter by chapter review of Tactics, which we present here in its entirety for the first time. Check out what David has to say about what Koukl has to offer in each chapter of Tactics and be sure to purchase your own copy to read for yourself, to have for future reference, and to share with other Christians involved in evangelism—which should be all of us!
