Philosophy and science have not always been friendly toward the idea of God, the reason being they are dedicated to the task of accounting for things and are impatient with anything that refuses to give an account of itself. The philosopher and the scientist will admit that there is much that they do not know; but that is quite another thing from admitting there is something which they can never know, which indeed they have no technique for discovering.— AW Tozer
i love apologetics. i have talked with many atheists, and are convinced that Romans 1:20 is true, “for since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
Yes, Coleeen, Romans 1:20-32 has been on my mind since I started this blog. It clearly describes what I see happening in the world on a day to day basis which is why I believe that apologetics is more important than ever. I believe it has it place in evangelism, but I believe that it is even more important to edify believers who are weak and easily swayed by the what is being put out there to undermine people’s faith. Some of the arguments against God can sound quite convincing, but once investigated with any kind of scrutiny, they fall apart like a house of cards. Thank you for your comment.
