Greg’s Note: The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah is a Christmas classic,
although I never quite understood why as it refers to the second coming of Christ
and not his birth. Regardless, it is still a great song. The video below has already
been making its rounds on the social networks, but I am posting it again here
for those who may not yet have seen it. I hope it brings a smile to your face. I

P.S. When Handel’s Messiah was first performed for King George of England, the
king stood during the Hallelujah Chorus (perhaps thinking it was over?), which
began the tradition of standing during live performances of the song; a tradition
which continues to this day. Notice that several of the bystanders seem to be aware
of this tradition and stand up from their seats once they realize what is going on.
