The Silence That Keeps Me Awake
by Dr. Del Tackett
You don’t want to read this, because you will become liable too.
Yesterday, a grand jury brought eight murder charges against a Pennsylvania abortionist. Their investigation took them into “a house of horrors”, filled with baby parts and the stench of death. Dr. Kermit Gosnell is charged with the murder of a 41 year-old woman and seven babies. He had found that it was easier to kill babies out of the womb rather than in. So, he would induce labor, deliver the baby, then cut their spinal cords using a pair of scissors thrust into the back of their necks.
This was ‘standard procedure’ in Gosnell’s clinic. And it was highly profitable. The CBS affiliate in Philadelphia reported that he made over $1.8 million in one year.
Prosecutors could only bring charges for 7 babies because Gosnell had quickly destroyed files on what they consider to be “hundreds” aborted this way. The grand jury said this method of killing babies became so routine for Gosnell, that no one could put an exact number on how many he had “snipped” as Gosner called it. He evidently would joke about the babies as he killed them. One baby, he said, was so large, it “could walk me to the bus stop”. Other times he would joke about the babies after his “procedure”, saying they were flopping around like a chicken with its head cut off.
If you can stomach it, read the report yourself.
It makes me sick to write it.
But the silence is killing me.
The sickest part of the report could be that the grand jury found that the Pennsylvania Department of Health had knowledge of Gosnell’s practices, but didn’t act, even though Pennsylvania’s law makes it illegal to abort a baby after 24 weeks.
Why were they silent about this?
Because there is a worldview perspective that has embraced abortion. Yes, it is easier to stomach, if the abortions are done early enough that the babies can be just sucked into a tube. That way we can somehow hide from the reality of it all and justify it through smooth words.
But when Gosnell takes it logically a little further, it exposes the ugly underbelly.
In essence, this is what Gosnell is saying to us:
“What is the magical difference between a baby at 24 weeks and 25 weeks?”
“What is the magical difference between aborting a baby in the womb or out of the womb?”
“What is so magical about the one second that separates them from “fetus” and “baby” that I can’t kill them on either side of that line?”
“It certainly is a lot easier.”
It is now 3 am, and maybe I’m not thinking very clearly. So forgive me for what I am about to write as well.
This worldview perspective has invaded one of the major political parties in this nation. Don’t get me wrong, neither are perfect. But on this issue, the two parties are miles apart. One stands against abortion, the other stands for it. For the life of me, I cannot understand how anyone can support this political position. African Americans overwhelmingly support this party and by so doing, support its platform and its abortion plank. Yet, a black woman is three times more likely to have an abortion than a white woman. A Hispanic woman, two times as likely.
Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the U.S. The vast majority of their clinics are in minority communities. In the last ten years, government funding for Planned Parenthood has doubled.
So has the number of abortions they provide.
Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, said “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated.”
That is happening.
Black America is disappearing. They are the only minority that is decreasing in population in this country.
They are being “exterminated” by the abortion industry…
