Dr. Hugh Ross on Creation and the Bible

I read Genesis 1 for the first time when I was seventeen, in
the midst of a personal study of the holy books undergirding
the world’s major religions. While I began with some degree
of certainty that God exists—because of the way the universe
began and was structured—I assumed all the holy books would
prove to be humanly crafted frauds. My aim was to confirm
this belief by identifying provable errors and contradictions
within those books. The task seemed relatively easy—until I
came up against the Bible.
