Kind of like the parable about giving someone a fishing pole rather than a fish if you want them to be fed over the long term—In terms of how we interpret Scripture—or anything else—it is better to give someone a good method by which they will find the truth than it is to give them some truths but no idea how to arrive at that conclusion. Teaching truth is a short term plan.
