Philosophy is not the enemy

WHY DO CHRISTIANS SHY AWAY FROM PHILOSOPHY?
You won’t have to hang around church or Christians for long before being told that we as believers are in the world, but not of the world (see John 17:14-16). Does this mean that philosophy is our enemy?
While this has become a truism, taken as a belief in isolation or applying it out of context can lead to a withdrawal by Christians from fields in which they ought to be engaging.
Principally, I am referring to philosophy. And no, it is not the enemy of the theist. The perils for the unthinking believer are far worse…
