I know, I know: “People cannot be argued into the kingdom of God.” The issue is with the heart, not merely the head. I agree. But that does not mean God cannot use apologetics to break down certain intellectual barriers that may stand between a man and saving faith. In fact, God calls on us to “contend earnestly for the faith” (Jude 3), and so apologetics is in obedience to God. So long as we keep our focus right, apologetics is a great tool for evangelism.
